Automatic lessons are a good idea for any driver who wishes to learn to drive in a very short space of time, but please note that if you pass your driving test in an automatic then you can only drive this type of vehicle. If you should then require to drive a manual car you would need to re-sit the practical test.
However if you pass in the manual you can drive either type of car.

Before booking a driving test you will have to have passed the written test and the HPT (Hazzard Perception Test).
New drivers please note that after passing the driving test you will be on probation for 2 years which means that if you attain more than 6 penalty points the theory and practical tests will have to be taken again.
